Who is Zeke the Teke?
Zeke the Teke or the Knight Eternal was created by Frater Jack Ostergren of Beta Kappa Chapter (University of Oregon) in the 1950s. Frater Ostergren was Editor of 'The Teke' Magazine in the early 1960's.

The use of this mascot of Tau Kappa Epsilon International, has not been used officially in a long time because it appears that his armor and helm are made of beer cans, note the feather in his cap could be reminiscent of the old pull tab cans used to have. I suppose that the glasses he is wearing could be beer goggles too. Understandably TKE International cannot endorse what has the negative stereotypical characteristics of fraternity men, ours and many other fraternal organization have been fighting for years. Frater Dick Adamek (Zeta Kappa) who knew frater Ostergren doesn't believe the creation out of beer cans theory is correct, but just the design style of the times.

What of Zeke today?
I would like for Teke to have an oficial mascott (again?). While old Zeke is still alive and well and seen often. I hope I do not offend the purists with my redesigning of Zeke which bears little resemblance to a beer can. He is a cool knight cheering on all the positive things Tekes do. What is a constant with Zeke through the years is tat Zeke is always represented with a smile. You will find different renditions of Zeke throughout this site specifically on the Graphics page and Animation page. Zeke can be customized at no charge for your website or event, e-mail me Sebastian@SnowdenHill.com.

Thanks to frater Dick Adamek (Zeta Kappa) for sharing his knowledge of Zeke the Teke, Knight Eternal.
