The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation Poster for 2003 (on the right), Artist Tom Newsom created this Santa image for the Marines. Santas are one of T. Newsoms specialities, his wife and their two sons are talented illustrators as well, see their website, you can even buy Christmas cards with Tom Newsom's Santas from that site. Mendola, Ltd made it possible for the Marines to use Newsoms' design. The poster needed some modifications for our purposes, (I thought the lettering was a bit subdued ;-). Created September 2003.

Santa Zeke, Created December 2002, Copyright 2002
Adapted for our purposes from the great image of the 2001 Marine Toys for Tots Foundation poster by Artist Ted Drake. The "Raggedy Ann" doll was the first gifts, Diane Hendricks made for needy children, when her husband Major Bill Hendricks could not find a suitable organization to distribute the dolls, she told him to start one and he did! This was in 1947.
Created September 2002

The Old Guys Original
Original
The "Alumni Crest" Redrawn from the original TKE Crest created by Dr. Carlton B. Pierce and Emily Butterfield and adopted by TKE in 1926. Modifications were made to the crest for the PK Alumni Association, gradated colors, introduction of "gold", the vanitas was redrawn and fitted with sun-glasses (to lessen the "creepy" factor :-), the helm made a bit more realistic without changing the overal look) and of course the ring showing the name of the Alumni Association and Longwood scribed below. Created 2001
